Short course: Britain and the Second World War

New HA short course announced for spring 2025

Published: 6th January 2025

2025 is the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War – a conflict that defined the twentieth century and still has an influence on relationships and attitudes today.

It was a truly global conflict with fighting, victims and military engagement happening around the globe. Yet increasingly people’s knowledge is often focused on only a few key battles and generational tales of survival. In this timely short course we will be looking at how the Second World War played out beyond the withdrawal of Dunkirk, D-Day and the Blitz. Subjects will include fighting on the Polish front, events in the Indian sub-continent, the Mediterranean and the Far East.

Free to HA members, £37 for non-members.

Starting in February 2025 – dates TBA.
