Overview of this module:

This module aims to develop students' knowledge and understanding of British history over the past 2000 years. Some tasks are designed specifically to examine history in overview, developing students' chronological understanding, whilst others focus on specific people and events, which are placed in their historical context. In terms of content, the focus is on political history ‘from above' - the development of political power, the monarchy, conflict and co-operation, and the development of the United Kingdom, for example.
