This podcast explores the impact of Henry VIII’s royal progresses on his authority, referring to the recent research conducted by the Henry on Tour blog with Historic Royal Palaces. Recording from King’s Manor in York the podcast especially looks at Henry VIII’s progress to York in 1541 as a response to the Pilgrimage of Grace. All information used for the description of the Pilgrimage of Grace is in accordance with the knowledge used for the relevant AQA, Edexcel and OCR A level specifications and is therefore relevant and transferable for A level of content.
