Our school has no uniform. You can’t predict what most children or teachers will wear from one day to the next. So the children were rather surprised one day in July 1996 when most of the teachers arrived wearing the same t-shirt. It was a white t-shirt with an image of Nelson Mandela in front of the post-apartheid South African flag and the words “Welcome Nelson Mandela”.
