Recorded webinar: Ordinary people - Holocaust Memorial Day 2023

Recorded webinar

By Paula Kitching, published 20th January 2023

To choose to act, to have no choice to be who you are, to live an ordinary life in extraordinary times? These are all questions that the Holocaust raises. Millions of people became victims of the Nazis, millions more choose not to act to stop the events around them, felt they had no power to intervene or were active participants.

In this talk what it means to be an ordinary person during the Holocaust is explored. People whose ordinary lives were destroyed by the Nazis and their followers, and the lives of those who chose to act will be examined in this fascinating talk to mark Holocaust Memorial Day 2023.

This webinar features Paula Kitching (HA Public Engagement and Outreach Manager & Editor of The Historian) and was recorded on 11 January 2023.
