Chartered Teacher of History

The Chartered Teacher of History status or (CTHist) confers a distinction on its holder in recognition of a high level of commitment to ongoing professional development of historical knowledge and age-appropriate history pedagogy. It follows the same rigorous standards as other successful Chartered Teacher schemes.
Chartered Teacher of History (CTHist) status is designed to ensure that educators who are directly engaged in teaching children and young people from early years through to trainee teachers in a variety of contexts can choose to have their commitment to professional learning recognised. It also provides assurance for leaders and managers that history educators are committed to their continued development.
