This book is an empowering book that teaches you about significant events and people within Black history. I learned about many people who I did not even know existed. The person I found most interesting was Shirley Bassey who I had never hear of! She is a singer from Wales, and I liked learning about her background and that she is famous around the world but came from the UK. The book was easy to read and digest because the information is structured around one person/event per day of the year. I think this is a great way to encourage young people to read more history – the small doses of history keep you intrigued along the way. I treated the book as if it were a calendar by making sure I read it each day. I felt motivated by these stories as the people in the book had some amazing achievements.
The book covers a variety of events and cultures, showing how black history as affected different parts of the world. I would strongly recommend this book for a dedicated reader as it has lots of text and information. Overall, this book was a joy to read, and I feel as if I am now much more educated on black history!

This book reflects as much as possible the Black History. When you enter the world of this book, you will experience moments and feelings from the period of Black History. In your imagination, all the events that took place will unfold, and you will float through the racist and cruel actions of many people. You will learn new things about characters you may never again have the chance or time to discover—people with an important role, such as John Boyega, Jackie Robinson, Maya Angelou, etc.
I was impressed by this book, written with great care and in a way that is easy to understand for everyone.
