Cosima Unfortunate

Review by Maria-Vittoria, Year 6, The Cathedral School of St Peter and St John
I enjoyed it a lot because I never knew what was going to happen next. The story takes place in the 19th century, which made it even more interesting to read. My favourite character was Cosima because she is brave and daring. When she wants something, she never gives up, which made her fun to read about. My least favourite character was the ticket attendant because she was negative towards Cosima and her friends for no reason. The plot was exciting because you could never tell what the girls had planned next. I would recommend this book because it keeps you turning the pages, wanting to know what happens next!

Review by Uma, Year 6, William Tyndale Primary School
The time it was set in was interesting because it added a bit more action and detail to the plot for, during that time the main character was discriminated against because of her disability. This added more things for her to get through. I found that Miss Fox was the most interesting character because she was amazingly clever and cool even though she was the villain. I thought all the characters were amazing and none of them are boring. I knew that people didn’t like children with disabilities but in this book, they hate them so much. What most stands out is that even though she had a father in jail and had stolen something she was a good character. I would recommend this to children who like exiting mysteries. Overall, this book was good.
