The Mysterious Misadventures of Clemency Wrigglesworth
By Julia Lee
1. The mysterious Misadventures of Clemency Wrigglesworth is a thrilling tale about a small, shy orphan who does not know what the future brings.
I enjoyed this book, especially when Clemency Wrigglesworth went to her new relatives in England, it got more exciting when Clemency found a new friend and her Aunt, called Miss Clawe who was very tall and thin and had very pail skin. Clemency was penniless and alone until she was taken by a madcap family, the marvellous marvels.
I think that this was a very realistic book with loads of little dilemmas that appeared a couple of times in the book. This book is very emotional and different feelings run throughout the book with different characters.
I would recommend this book to children aged 9 - 12 because the words are not at all complicated. This book makes me want to read more historical books. I love this book because the description is magical and it fanatastic.

3. This book is about a young girl called Clemency Wrigglesworth who has to go to live in England because her mother died and her father could not take care of her.
When Clemency arrives in London she has no relations for her to stay with so she stays with a family living at 17 Wentworth Gardens, but things do not really go the way Clemency thought they would.
I did not find this book very interesting because I found that it was very predictable and there were no cliff hangers at the end of the chapters so that I did not want to carry on reading.
If you are looking for a book that is full of surprises and action then this book might not be the one you are looking for but if you like books that come with little surprise and not really any action then this is probably the kind of book you are looking for.
If I had to rate this book out of 10 I would probably give it a 3.
Then again people have different views and so if you want to see if this is the kind of book you want to read the only way to find out is to read it yourself.
