Issues 16–43 of Primary History

Congratulations on the publication of the 100th issue of Primary History! This publication marks a real achievement in the field of primary history education and reflects the hard work and commitment of so many colleagues determined to share their enthusiasm for the subject and to ensure that primary school children experience the highest quality of history teaching.

With this celebration in mind, I have been rooting through boxes in our loft and gathered together all past editions, from the earliest newsletters printed by the Primary History Association in 1989 – just a few pages – followed by the Primary Historian 1990–91 to the first edition of Primary History, which went to print in July 1992, to the stimulating 99th issue, published in spring 2025...
