Primary History, Years 5 and 6

Welcome to our new-look curriculum plans. Log in below to access the unit.
This scheme of work is designed to meet the requirements of two National Curriculum study units at Key Stage 2, sequenced as continuous planning: ‘Britain’s settlement by Anglo-Saxons and Scots’ and ‘The Viking and Anglo-Saxon struggle for the kingdom of England to the time of Edward the Confessor’. It addresses both substantive and disciplinary concepts and has been written so that it can be adapted flexibly to suit particular educational settings and allocated time. It is made up of 5 enquiries, supported by resources and resource suggestions.
You may also find Steve Mastin's short film 'What is a curriculum?' helpful.
We would like your feedback on this new curriculum plan format. We also have new-look curriculum plans on Ancient Greece and Stone Age to Iron Age. |
