The following are the outcomes of my project:

• Our project was a huge success in that we managed to use it as a catalyst for socio religious integration and cross generational work. So far our children have worked together and separately on this project and while they have operated independently for the majority of this project they have also met together and engaged with children who although live less than 2 miles away would not have traditionally socialised or been educated together until at least secondary or even tertiary sector levels of education.
• The basis of a shared website has been created and this will act as a long term repository of information and photo galleries on local history, story telling and poetry
• Many of our children have been inspired by participation in the project and many children in future years will also be interested to listen to and look at the media gathered together.
• The older participants gained self esteem and confidence in the value of their memories and knowledge. They enjoyed the social aspects of the project sharing with the children and each other and are prepared to help us again in the future to continue to build our archive.
• These outcomes are not only sustainable through our website but also will have long term impact through resources and research  
• As a teacher I believe this project has benefited me professionally by affording me the time and opportunity to see how our shared history can be used in a positive way to bring communities together who are being challenged by their shared past.
• I believe as a school we have benefited from the research that was conducted and we have made some valuable links with our community and providers of historical information.
• As a school we have benefited from an improved profile in our community and older members of our community who believed they no longer had a role to play in our school as their children have grown up and moved on are now interested in what we are doing and what we are achieving.
