We publish a number of journals and magazines as well as one-off publications to support history. Our in-house journals are:
The historian is a specialist history magazine for the HA membership, containing articles and news from academics, research historians, and other heritage specialists. Articles cross all eras and disciplines of history. From 2013 each edition has had a leading theme and is inviting guest editors for some editions. Themes have included; historical fiction; travel; and women. Coming up will be issues exploring the First World War, Magna Carta, Waterloo and other key anniversaries.
Is a world renouned journal specifically for secondary education. Teaching Historyprovides a range of articles on pedagogical skills and specific history subject knowledge.
Is specifically for primary education and provides a range of articles on pedagogical skills and specific history subject knowledge.
History published in partnership with Wiley-Blackwell - is ouracademic journal available in over 3000 research libraries world wide. Edited by Professor John Charmley and Professor Emma Griffin, it includes the lastest historical research, extensive book reviews, and editorial notes. There are five editions each year including one themed edition.
International Journal of Historical Learning, Teaching and Research the International Journal of Historical Learning, Teaching and Research [IJHLTR] was founded to provide an international medium for reporting on research and developments in history education from the early years to higher education.
