PTI History CPD in Greenwich on 5th December

The Prince's Teaching Institute has organised what looks like a fascinating day exploring some of the issues that arise from the increasing emphasis on citizenship education within the curriculum.

We at the HA are very interested in this, and have some of out own questions: how can history teachers exploit this focus on many of the issues that make up our own core curriculum? How can we ensure that the important historical dimensions of citizenship are maintained and not diluted? Who should be delivering the various different aspects of the citizenship curriculum? Can History ever really drive Citizenship?
