Friday 12 & Saturday 13 May 2017
We are delighted to announce that our Saturday keynote speaker for HA Conference 2017 will be none other than Michael Wood, one of the country’s best loved historians and winner of the 2011 Medlicott Medal for services to history.
He will return to his origins in regaling conference attendees on the foundations of the English state in his lecture King Alfred and the Anglo-Saxons - The Making of England.
Next year’s conference takes place at the Mercure Hotel, Manchester Piccadilly, in the heart of Manchester city centre. Both days will be packed with fantastic workshops, lectures, historical visits and more, and will cater for all our education practitioners and history enthusiasts. Keep an eye out in the upcoming issue of Teaching History for some highlights of the secondary programme.
Early bird booking is open now, so view the programme and today today on www.HAconference.com
