Ian Tyler will talk about Honister Slate – ‘The history of Cumbria’s largest underground slate working’
Ian Tyler is the curator of Keswick Mining Museum. He has written numerous books about mining in Cumbria including Cumbrian Mining, The Lakes Mine Guide and Honister Slate. The talk will be illustrated and describe the full history of the Honister Slate mine.
